Nigeria Police Recruitment 2020 Requirements

The following list below are what will be needed for you to get a job in the Nigeria Police Force, so if you are applying for the police recruitment. The list below are important

  • Applicant must be a Nigerian citizen
  • Age requirement for interested applicants is between 17 years – 25 years of age when applying.
  • The National Identification Number [NIN] is required for identification,
  • Driver’s license is also an added advantage.
  • An O’ level certificate [WAEC or NECO or GCE or NABTEB] is required with at least five credit including Mathematics and English with not more than two sittings
  • The NPF consider height in recruitment, so for male, you height must be 5 feet 9 inches [1.67 meters]  while female is 5 feet 4 inches [1.64 meters].
  • You must have your Secondary School Leaving Certificate before applying
  • Applicants must be free from any form of criminal offence and must posses good character.
  • Female applicants must be single when applying, if you are married you wont be enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force.
  • Pregnant women wont be allowed for the recruitment.
  • Expanded chest measurement for male only must not be less than 34 inches.
  • In terms of financial status, you must be free from any form of pecuniary embarrassment
  • Candidates must undergo medical examination before final selection into the Nigeria Police Force
  • You must download and fill the guarantor form and get references from any of the following below
    • Local Government Chairman
    • Traditional Ruler
    • Military Officer not below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel
    • Magistrate
    • Police Officer not below the rank of CSP
      Head Of Educational Institutions
      Civil Servant not below the rank of Grade Level 12

  • Firstly, you are to log on to the official recruitment portal to start your application
  • After accessing the portal, you are required to fill out the application form and the guarantor’s Form, make sure you fill everything correctly

The applicant that the meet the requirement from the online registration would be invited for physical screening at all State Commands, including FCT Command from 24th August, 2020 to 30th August 2020

About The Nigeria Police Force

The Nigeria Police Force is the principal law enforcement agency in Nigeria with the motto “police is your friend”. It was founded 1930 with the preceding agencies – Northern Nigeria Police (NNP) and Southern Nigeria Police (SNP).The NPF is a very large organization consisting of 36 State commands grouped into 12 zones and 7 administrative organs. The agency is currently headed by IGP Adamu Muhammed.
